Biochemistry
Emily Wood
Meet Emily Wood, a junior biochemistry major from Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
The University of Evansville's biochemistry program prepares students for success in any number of specialized chemistry or biology disciplines in the workforce or in medical, dental, or graduate school.
Because biochemistry students take classes in both biology and chemistry, each student has the opportunity to work directly with our talented faculty in both departments, both in the classroom and in research beyond the classroom. Students also have the chance to participate in numerous summer research activities, both on-campus and with other graduate programs.
As a result, our alumni are prepared to succeed in a wide array of specialized chemistry or biology disciplines, whether they choose to join the workforce immediately after graduation or to attend medical, dental, or graduate school.
